First pic is him now, second pic is about 3 months ago from the first night i brought him home from Petco.

Does anyone know how to possibly tell the roundabout age of a Betta or can tell me based on these pics how old he is? Thanks

Typically, the Bettas at places like PetCo are around six months to one year old. Males tend to be closer to the one year mark and females tend to be sold younger.
This age range is because breeders and suppliers tend to wait until bettas are mature enough to display their full colors and fins, making them easier to sell.
For your Betta, I’d just assume one year old when you got him plus the time you’ve had him for is his approximate age.
