There's just something to doing unconventional things.

This is the left most 15g of my 45 us gallon tank. In it, I've carefully planted a mix of hard tissue and soft tissue plants. What I'm most excited about, is what's so eloquently hidden, yet in full display. All by none other than nature itself. I, on a whim, planted a runner from one of my pond plants. A crested floating heart (ran through a quarantine tank, with multiple water changes before transfer [for all you germ nerds out there] lol) inside of one of my pieces of mopani. I eventually packed it down with some cycled substrate. This is roughly 2 months in from a sprout merely the size of a quarter. Healthy roots running deep into the caverns and crevices within the wood, establishing itself firmly within the biome I've created. The life of an elder age providing for the next. The "natural"world is truly beautiful.

Be well my fishy friends 🫡
