Is it normal for braided line to have black gunk come out of it?

I bought this 65 pound test spectra line and when I opened the package, I noticed that there was a bit of black stuff coming off the line whenever it rubs along something. Is this a sign that the line is degraded or is it normal for something like this? I’ve never used the stuff, so it’s a bit worrying. Thanks guys.
