Creating a Realistic Biotope for Channa Andrao | Natural Fish Tank Setup With No Filter
Reklam
In this video, I set up a natural habitat inspired aquarium for Channa Andrao, also known as the Dwarf Snakehead. The goal wasn’t to create a perfect biotope, but to capture the calm and earthy atmosphere of their natural environment.
This setup includes live plants, driftwood, and natural decorations similar to what you’d find in their wild habitat. Even though the sand and some details are a bit different, the overall look feels very organic and full of life.
It’s possible to create beautiful, sustainable ecosystem aquariums without spending a lot of money, with minimal technology and affordable materials. And you can do it without stress or exhaustion. Having an aquarium hobby doesn’t mean adding stress to your life, it means sitting in front of the tank you built with your own hands and letting go of the day’s worries.
Of course, not every aquarium can be set up this way. Whether or not water changes are done, whether a filter is used, and how the aquarium is designed all depend on the needs of the animals living inside and on our own expectations from the tank. When necessary, water changes can be done, and filters can certainly be used in the systems that require them.
I’ve made a list of the exact products I use. If I couldn’t find the exact ones, I included similar products, and if I couldn’t find those either, I added alternatives that might be useful for you. You can check them out in the products section.
Tank Size:
65 × 25 × 35 cm – 60 Liters
25.6″ × 9.8″ × 13.8″ – 16 Gallons
Plants:
Ceratophyllum Demersum
Najas Indica
Salvinia Cucullata
Pistia Stratiotes
Lemna Minor

FINALLY SOMEBODY MKES A TANK FOR A SNAKEHEAD 🎉
Amazing ❤
Pasir apa itu??
A very pretty aquarium, but unfortunately much too small for Channa andro. 80x40x35 cm should be the minimum dimensions. Suitable hiding places for the fish are completely lacking. Caves are essential for Channa species.
