I got this little guy yesterday and seems to be glass surfing a lot. He was flaring at his reflection a lot too so I put a blanket around the edges of the tank and that seems to help the flaring but not the surfing. He did eat his breakfast 3 pellets. Is this normal? I’ve dimmed my light to the lowest setting too. He has a few snail tank mates but honestly doesn’t seem to mind them he just kind of looks at them. The tank is 10 gallons and is cycled. The temp is 78 and all other perimeters were normal just yesterday.

Glass surfing is normal in a new setting. Personally, I turn the lights off completely when adding a new fish to a tank since they’re already stressed
He is just getting familiar with the environment. I usually keep the light on at night and turn it off in the morning to the evening, if ur room gets alot of sunlight. He looks happy to me. U have a great setup for the little one. Have a beautiful life little one, thank u for choosing him 🩷🩷
