  1. Bbbbbut OP, sororities don’t exist! They never work! Its animal cruelty!

Meanwhile: not a single flare or even a nipped fin. Those gals are in perfect condition.

Are the rasboras there for a dither, or just there because why not?

  2. Ive got less zeal towards the topic then most here but theres very good reasons people dont reccomend sororities (I have one).
This tank is beautiful but it doesn’t look stratified enough to handle that MANY bettas long term. I would generally aim for a betta to dither ratio of like 1-6

Your girls need their own territory.

To expand, this is a repost from another sorority thread:

Unless your tank is enormous and structurally complex at a level most hobbyists will never achieve (let alone maintain); There will always be a “best” micro territory. Every female will try to occupy it and that leads to constant disputes. They constantly re-evaluate the hierarchy; After every feeding, water change, minor environmental shift. They will never truly settle, they will re-negotiate rank over and over and over and over. Stress

Most people will underestimate how much energy a subordinate fish spends avoiding conflict. It shortens lifespan via suppressed immune function, opportunistic infections, and long-term organ strain from elevated cortisol.
