Hey so I wanted to ask, I’ve done some research but haven’t been able to come up with anything concrete.
About a week ago one of these little guys died, he had the same swollen belly as the fish you see here. He dropped to the sand the day before and looked like he couldn’t swim, and the next day he was belly up.
Now this guy is getting a big belly and also dropping.
Is this a disease or are they just fat? Is it even possible for a fish to die because it’s fat?
I’ve had them for about 10 months with no prior issues.

Looks fat and yes they can die from being fat
I have a few fatasses in my tanks and I’m just waiting for them to die but they seem to live to eat and not eat to live so far…
I hear the price of ozempic is coming down.

Sometimes females can have blighted ovum. Eventually leading to death.
I had a fat molly. Next thing I knew I had 1 new baby fish and a slimmed down molly
