What’s your aversion to a small battery?
Any of the wireless fish finders that aren’t complete junk like Deeper, cost just as much as a small entry level units from Garmin or Lowrance would, but with less features.

Proper one. I just got a garmin striker 4 plus. Im running it off my 18v ozito tool batteries. Small battery and easy to set up. No hassles
