Long shot, I know… my father purchased these flies from someone in the late 80s-early 90s… At this point he cannot remember where they are from. All he remembers was the “really nice guy” who was in his recollection a “famous tier.” I fish saltwater 90% of the time and am not as familiar with these flies, or famous Canadian tiers. I know this is not much information, but I figured this community might just have someone that had a clue.

    Bottom: maybe a Ginger Quill. Old school trout fly for sure.

  2. Looks like some of jimmy winklefahrtzens work, great find! he still lives under the same bridge by the quary! You can see him come out of his rock on cold tuesday mornings to catch trout with his teeth and mate with the local squirrels. If you go to see him make sure to bring a rubber ducky he likes the way they smell.
