Aquariums: What is this thing? Found in removed christmas moss, is it safe?
Is this some sort of pupal form if an insect or a fully aquatic thing?

That right there is a shrimp delete machine. Get rid ASAP. Throw it in a pond or something outside.

Dragonfly Larva! Like everyone else said, it will murder everything. Remember, at least once adult, damn things have a 95% hunting accuracy… And there were GIANT ones once upon a time.

Have killed it and will be closely monitoring the tank for other nymphs.

Dragon fly or damsel fly larvae!!! I found a fully developed dragon fly in my tank and did some research and the larva is aquatic and can eat your fish fry and shrimps. Idk if they can eat small fish but I know they will eat the fry and the shrimps. đ itâs super hard to get rid of them too from what Iâve read so I wish the best of luck to the both of us. I read some fish will eat those tho.

Flush it down the toilet
