I just seen this today. he somehow removed part of his tail??.
the rocks aren't sharp, theres nothing in the tank to hurt him, all live plants. his parameters are great:
Ph: 7.6
High range: 8.0
Amonina: 0
Nirtite: 0
Nirate: 10
Just had a water change the other day. he had half a tail when I bought him so maybe this is something he does? it was just starting to be filled out again come on :(. is there something I can do for him?? i put a Lil melafix in there as I dont have stress coat or almond leaves right now.
do I leave the severed tail in there or take it out? its a small chunk and he has bladder snails (not by choice) will they take care of it?

The rock looks like a frog
Bettas love tight spaces so I’m betting he was wiggling to try and get under the rock and did but it snagged part of his tail on his way out when it dropped
