So I recently got a vibe shearwater with the pedal drive (my pops left me his old kayak to replace my inflatable bote rackham w/ its pedal drive for context) and on the first trip I went out on the flats the chain assembly cable snapped out of the little crimped piece. They are out of stock on new chain assemblies so if I want to use it over the holidays im gonna have to figure out a fix.
Looking at how it broke, I simply don't believe this isnt a super common issue (especially in saltwater) but have not found too many solutions just yet. Any advise? Anyone else run into this before? I dont have the tools needed to simply put it back together but maybe a local machine shop? Any help is welcome. Thanks.

Nearly all of those drives are copies of the v1 Hobie drives, in theory the chain cable from any brand will fit.
Hobie, pelican, lightning, etc etc
If you find one in stock, call the dealer and see if they would measure it for you.
