I’m leaving for thanksgiving tomorrow afternoon and will be gone until Saturday afternoon. I’m so incredibly stressed about leaving my poor betta for so long it’s actually bad. Honey Mustard is my everything, but unfortunately I cannot bring her with me. People have told me I should have someone come feed her everyday, others have said she’ll be okay. But I’m just anxious. What if she starves and dies? Then it would be my fault. But it’s really my only option. Please let me know what you think. I’ve attached some photos of my baby for reference on her weight and health.

Feed her before u leave, she’ll be fine for a few days. It’s beneficial to fast bettas once in awhile so that’s something. Just make sure she has a lid, good water quality, and everything intact before heading out

I understand your concern (I have an anxiety disorder 😅) but she should be fine for just a few days

Fish can go for very long periods of time without food, their metabolism isn’t like ours, and plenty of fishkeepers (myself included) have left their fish unattended for a few days with no real issue
