I just went to check on lil dude and do a top off on his tank when I saw A HOLE in his side! There looks to be these weird spikes all around/coming out of him. I've never seen anything like it! From what I can find it might be Camallanus, but they're literally bursting from his side. Is there any saving him?
I checked him yesterday, this happened from one day to the next!
(There are other fish in the tank that have yet to show any kind of symptoms of anything, so I've moved him into a tiny bucket for now, but if it's Camallanus I'm sure its a matter of time before the rest have symptoms)

Unfortunately he is pineconing (the raised scales) and losing scales, which is a clear sign of dropsy. You can try an epsom salt treatment in a hospital tank, but it is not always successful. My betta recently got dropsy and I had to euthanize him because he was only getting worse and stopped eating. Dropsy is pretty serious unfortunately and can be caused by a million things, half of which can be completely out of your control. I would treat him for dropsy and if his quality of life becomes no longer acceptable I would euthanize him. I’m sorry for being the bearer of bad news 🙁
Not sure but looks like anchor worm parasite
