Not sure what bait your planning to use but it looks waaaay too long for any bait I know of. Looks like 2-3 inches long and usually it’s a few cm / whatever size your bait is.
Apart from that it would work, but I would personally use a dark coloured bit of shrink tube ( or none at all, it’s not really needed with a standard hair rig ) so it’s less obvious to fish. Also might get small / nuisance fish pecking at it thinking it’s a bloodwork or something

If you’re using a whole fish for a catfish maybe, for carp the hair need to be like a fifth of that

The hair is way too long. After you’ve put you bait on. The bait should not touch the hook. 1mm gap is enough.
