Nailed this guy around 1 am. Couldn’t sleep and was struggling with my live bait setup, so decided to throw the lures for a bit. Had the lure sitting in the water for 5-7 seconds while I adjusted my jacket and this guy decided to pick it up. He tried to lose me in the reef, and nearly did, but I put my entire body into stopping this fish. Bent my hook but managed to hang on by one prong of the treble hook. Tagged and released 🙌
