My betta was in his tank last night and when I woke up this morning to feed him, I can’t find him or a body. I’ve looked all around the tank and I can’t find a body, and I am very confused on where he could’ve gone. The top on his tank would give him maybe an inch of space to jump out if he wanted to, but he has never jumped before. The tank is off in the picture because I’ve been searching for him all morning.

  1. Check under and around everything, even behind whatever shelf he’s on. Be thorough as *fuck*. Little menaces can last for hours outside of a tank but it’s still limited.

  2. RIP fishy friend. My betta jumped out too at one point and I luckily found him in time. It had to have been at least an hour if not longer. He was covered in dog fur but alive. However, he now has a permanent bend by his tail and his eyes are foggy but this was over a year ago and he’s still going strong. The tank had a glass lid with a small gap of about an inch where the filter and such drops in and I guess he timed it right. He now had a full lid setup as well.
