Well I decided to clean my filter tank out today and to my surprise, found a colony of shrimp in there. I started out with 5 about 3 months ago, then 3 of them didn't survive. My tank has an army of shrimp as of late, lost count after 16. Definitely need to invest in a cone to go around my filter inside the tank now.

I always get a bunch in my canister filter
Same thing happens to me, except with my platy fry. Tbh I think it’s just them hiding from the adult fish, which is pretty smart.
