
got this little guy after he lived in vase at my work for about 3 years. once he was in my care, i did research and took him home. i have a heater, filter, some plants and sand. i had to change his diet completely. little guy also has some red shrimp buddies in there. anything else i should keep in mind to help him? feeling like a fish outta water

He’ll have a great life now, that tank looks perfect for him.
Most bettas only live about 3-4 years, so please don’t feel bad if he doesn’t live too long even in your care. However, he’ll be a lot happier now <3
The only suggestions I have would be something up high to rest on. The suction cup fake leaves or some tall plants.
That tank looks like a massive upgrade from what you describe. Congrats on setting up an amazing retirement home for an old guy. I hope he has a wonderful rest of his life. (Betta’s rarely live longer than 4 years so if he was at the office for 3, figure 3-6 months in transit to the store, if he passes in 6 months it’s not your fault and you have done an amazing job)
