All parameters are correct (ph 6.5, nitrates, ammonia, nitrites, all zero), lives alone in a 46L tank. Temp is usually 27°C (I live in the tropics so it occasionally gets up to 30, but we cool it down gradually with air con.
I've tried salt baths, I've tried antibiotics (tri-sulfa) at the suggestion of my local fish store (great guy, the owner), and I tried fasting for 5 days.
I know he has a bit of algee, but I'm focusing on trying to make him better. His scales are raised, but not all over, so I don't know if it's dropsy. He sits on the bottom a lot, or sits funny.
He's a little over a year old.
One side is more raised that the other. It's been 4 days on the drugs and there hasn't really been a change.
He's the best boy and we love him and he's not getting better, he used to be super active and now he only swims a little.
He's still eating when I feed him (which is now less cause he's not super active anymore), but I don't know what to do.
Any ideas?
