I love gouramis so much, there’s so many kinds and they’re all gorgeous and they’re hardy and you don’t need a massive tank to keep one. I want a tank FULL of gouramis of all types because I love them so much, show me your gouramis so I can admire them. Mine is named Benson Boone

Oh, I love gourami too. I had 6 of them and they all died within a year because of the gourami iridovirus.
They have been far too overbred and inbred that they have all kinds of genetic issues and they never live that long unless you are very lucky. The most I have been able to keep them alive is about a year.
Perfect water parameters, regular feeding, nothing worked. They eventually all passed.
If you have luck with your gourami that’s awesome, however, I refuse to purchase anymore unless they are the natural gourami that can grow to 5″ or 6″ but I don’t have a tank for them at the moment lol.
I love Gouramis but their ability to just randomly die for no reason make having them almost always heartbreaking.
