I’ve posted a lot here recently, I know lmao. I originally went out to spud bar a local pond with bluegill, perch, walleye, pike, and some stocked trout, just to see where it was at. It took about 10 hits with the spud bar before it would go in, so I’d bet about 4-5in, ish. I then got the idea to get my hummingbird to see how deep, and then drilled my first 2 ever holes. I marked some fish so went to get the rod. I’m very new to this and have never been out on the ice alone. I know You want at least 3-4in of good ice to hold a person. Thoughts? Is it game on? Or am I an idiot and wait a couple days?

It’s white ice. Looks like 4″ tho so you should be good if you stay stationary. If you are moving around spud, spud, spud!
I would do it!
I would go out shallow and spud! Walter feeds shallow early ice.
Take your ice scoop and spray paint a line 3.5-4 inches from the top of the scoop. Hook the hole with the scoop, if the line is below the top of the ice good to go.
