Can someone please diagnose and give me pointers on my amazing betta fish “little red”. It is so important to me. My husband died 9 months ago and this was our first fish together.
The only things that have changed for his tank are stress. I just moved out of our apartment into a house and it was a stressful move for my fish (I have 5 tanks).
Water quality is good. All normal. Ammonia nitrates and nitrites all good. Filter, heater(78 degrees) , 5gal shallow planted tank.
As you can see in the photos, he’s recently developed HOLES in his fins. It looks like it could be fin rot, but the water quality of this tank is consistently good??? Also his coloring is off, he is normally really vibrant cherry red but his head is getting very dark all of the sudden, seeing some flaws and patchiness in his scales.
The biggest concern for me is that he’s normally my most active out of all my bettas, and recently he’s been hiding underneath the filter 24/7. HELP PLEASE
