Here’s my 9G tank hopefully for a wild/alien betta sometime in the future when it’s cycled.
I tried to go for a vibe of underwater tree roots, almost like mangroves, and then the rocks in the corner brought it all together.
I plan on growing some sort of carpet plant/ moss on the grave, with Java fern on the right side above the rocks and Anubis on the left in between the driftwood pieces, and then finally a floating plant such as water lettuce or red root floaters if I have room.
Any thoughts or advice on the tank would be much appreciated, and any thoughts on plants would be great too cause I’m not well versed in them yet. The tank is currently cycling, and I do know I need to buy a light for it (it’s being ordered), thank you 🙂

Nice tank! A lot of carpet plants need a good amount of light, something Java fern doesn’t like. You’d also need some kind of nutrient substrate. If there isn’t any, you can break up some root tabs and stick them where you plan to add plants. I’m sure your future betta will like the set up either way.
