Hello, I just got this male crow tail betta fish today (his name is pebble)

He has been very curious about his tank (considering it’s a massive upgrade from his previous tank at the fish store)

Since I have brought him home I noticed he is a lot more colourful now that he has settled in to his new tank

I have heard some say that it can be stress but it could also mean he is happy, I have no clue

He has also been eating pretty well and even swam up to my finger when it was in the tank adjusting his hammock

the tank has been cycled and everything (the parameters are all normal

Temp: 27 Celsius
Ph: 7
Ammonia: 0ppm
Nitrate: 0ppm
Nitrate:0ppm

Tank size: 7 U.S gallons

  1. He looks majestic for sure. Does he have natural live plants, floating plants?
The plastic plants could rip his fins and the bright decoration might stress him and can leak toxins or chip paint over time.

How long did you cycle the tank? Did you use stripes or liquid to test the water?
