I’d like to say he’s a samurai but I’m not sure really. Also I can’t tell if he is already starting to develop diamond eye 🙁 I just got him today from a small pet shop and seemed to be the only one doing halfway decent

Pretty sure he’s a samurai. He looks almost identical to mine

I’d say he’s a samurai betta. I can’t tell about the diamond eye though, sorry. But they are prone and he has a ton of dragon scales on his face already, so I’d say it’s possible. Get him into a good feeding routine; feeding in the same spot and tapping the glass prior to feeding, just in case he does end up with blindness.

It’s a Samurai.
I had one, sadly Ted barely lived another year. Developed diamond eye and eventually melanoma. The first was “not that bad”, but the second melanoma had him decline badly. I had to put him to sleep in late December 2024.
They are beautiful, but prone to disease.
