I keep hearing this clicking/croaking sound. unplugged his air pump to see if that was vibrating, and the C02 was removed if it was the release valve. I kept hearing it, but I couldn't figure out a pattern or where it was from. It's taken me ages to get it on video.
I think it's coming from him? I can't find videos of croaking betta fish on YouTube, though a Google search said it was something they could do??? It has started to seem like it happens when he's around his snails, which he loves to harass.
Sorry for the glare/reflection/lights. The sound always stops after I get recording, I got lucky to get this one!

what type of betta is he?
This actually just reminded me of when i had a similar problem lol I kept hearing this loud cracking sound from my 55g I had a bichir with catfish after 2 months of not finding anything I waiting by my tank until I heard the sound and my bichir was biting the water not the same but close enough lmao
That’s so strange, sounds kinda like some sort of frog? I’ve only ever heard my Betta make popping/clicking noises when eating but they where more like biting sounds. Never this
