There are two live small plants that will hopefully keep growing, but I can of course add more. The dragon stone seems decently smooth, but has plenty of divots that could probably cause snags. HOB filter and 50W automated filter in the back set to 78 (cannot be changed). Water has been conditioned.
This aquarium was a huge impulse purchase, and I‘d like to do everything I can to make this an acceptable home for at least *something*.

Should be fine, considering looking for tumbled dragon stone that won’t be as sharp or check if it snags on pantyhose.
Well first read up on cycling it. That’s the most important part even before thinking of putting in any live animal. Get yourself a drop kit and make sure everything is cycles correctly. This process can easily take up to 2 months depending on the method.
You can put a lot more plants and I’d highly recommend to do so as they help filter a lot and make the betta feel safer.
And yeah if planted more this can work as a betta tank 🙂
