This is a 6 gallon tank that will eventually be home to a betta. It’s my first tank I’m just wondering if it’s possible to overcrowd with plants and driftwood? I’m worried the little guy won’t have enough room to swim around

Doesn’t seem that way! Bettas love heavily planted environments, keep it like this for a happy guy.
Your tank looks awesome! If anything you could probably add one or two more, they love tiny shaded spaces they can hide from you in.
I worried about this too when setting up my tank but with some research I realised this is the best for them
You can never ever have too many plants. Unless you have no surface flow
Your first tank? In between two other tanks? MTS is strong already!
Not at all. Looks good.
