This specific piece was bought from an aquarium store, the rest of my driftwood i found myself, and treated myself. This is the only one with this weird jelly stuff growing on it. There are no critters in this aquarium at the moment, so i am not worried about it hurting anything. But what is it? And how to get rid of it? does it go away on its own?

It is biofilm. You can gently scrap/brush it off if you want. It will eventually go away on its own. It will get worse before it gets better but don’t sweat it.
It’s just biofilm and it’s normal. It will go away on its own eventually, otherwise it will be great food for shrimp or snails. You can ignore it.
