Hello ppl,
my female betta seems so be doing bad or dying. She is breathing heavily, got pale scales, and lost orientation, swims into the ground.
I seperated her in a lunchbox with holes to better keep an eye on her.
Of course it is a bit of a difficult question what is exactly wrong with her. I suspect it must be something betta-esk, as she is sharing the tank (25L) with 4 ottos which are doing completly fine (and these have been in the past a trusty indicator for problems like bad water).
I did treat bacterial infections before long time in the past with light salt water solution, but I'm afraid that will also stress her even more.
My backup if it goes till friday would be freezer saltwater to make it quick, but I dont want to give up too fast here.
So my question is maybe not directly what causes it, but how can I help to either keep her fighting? Or if it gets worse, how to outlive the poor fish?
Hope anyone can help me, thanks!
