31 gallon tank arrived today and watched in horror while the delivery guy threw the box to the ground from the truck bed.
Upon inspection, damage isn’t terrible, but there is a concave chip at the top of the tank and an another small chip at the bottom.
A refund was offered, but the manufacturer doesn’t want the tank back.
Planning on taking the refund and giving the tank away, but wanted opinions first on whether you think the tank is usable at all or if it’s best to just dump it??

It’s a new tank. Contact the place of purchase and sort something out.
If this was a second hand tank, I’d not be fussed.
Two of my personal examples:
I’ve got a 315L tank that’s got some dings but I got it for $50AUD a few years ago and it’s holding fine.
Different vein but still glass, a new PC case came with a tiny flake/chip in the glass side panel, I contacted the place of purchase and had it replaced.
To clarify- I’m getting a full refund! The manufacturer just doesn’t want the tank back. So I’m stuck with the tank but have gotten my money back. Just trying to figure out if the tank is even usable!
Have you considered trying to have a reptile instead? Could do a nice terrarium, or you could make it a sort of pauludarirum, making it a half water half terrestrial build.
That crack is at the top, right? As long as the seal isn’t broken, and you keep the water below that, I don’t think it would leak
This is what most new aquarium looks like in Asia.
If you’re gonna give it away, can I have it? I’m like 80% serious.
Tank is fine, seal are all in tack, just a chip
Grab a piece of sand paper and sand it down so it’s not sharp and enjoy as usual
