Hi all, i have dusted off my old deeper pro fish finder and drifted a kayak on a deep lake in search of new spots. This lake has (for the netherlands) somw very deep holes and very steep rocky slopes. I know slopes like that tend to be good. I found lots of signals along a deep edge running through the lake but I am doubting:
Am I picking up fish or am I picking up the rock wall perhaps?
I am using a wide angle cone (55degree). After some research i see the narrow cone might be better when scouting these structures. I dont use this thing a lot and never yet in such deep water with steep cliffs. Any experienced fishfinder users wanna help me interpret these readings? Above is mu location and depth, and I have placed a pin where the water is shallower.
