Betta Fish: Rescue betta

Hey guys, I brought home a betta that had some pretty ragged fins from the store. These two photos are from first day and now, only been a week. I am having a hard time telling if he’s continuing fin rot, or if it seems to be doing better. I see a little bit of black on his edges.
The tank is cycled and stable
