The first photo was what he used to look like not my actual betta except he had silver where the pink was, but anyway now hes a lil different when I got him I saw him change a lil bit of color but his was only hours apart before he got near this shade and now a couple days in he's just completely different from how he used to look, I'm still new ik the set up looks like crud, I didn't have a photo in the beginning since I at first didn't think to need one but watching him fastly change over time was wow
(Also my tetras aren't eating I thought they would be ready now it's been 3 days and I'm scared)

He got healthier and starting to show what he reallly looks like betas with loose.color when stressed or sick
Congrats op you have a very happy guy! Betta’s will usually start to gain more color. When they’re out of the stress of a pet store. Good water conditions and a healthy diet help as well. Keep on doing what you’re doing and I’m sure you’ll see a bubble nest soon enough 🙂
He’s stunningly beautiful
White bettas will always have a glow up if they have the marble gene! Mine was white and is now purple and blue 🙂
Woooow so beautiful! He’s healthy and happy- lower stress levels help their color come out. I adore thst blue-grey color!
Congrats! You have a happy, healthy betta. They often change color when they’re put in a comfortable environment. I’ve had two pale-colored bettas that turned darker after I had them in clean, warm water for a while.

This is how my guy started out.
All the people saying bettas look duller when sick are only partially correct. The fish you got looks young and healthy and nothing seemingly wrong. No stress stripes or dullness.
The real reason is many bettas have genes that change as they age and get expressed more with time. It’s a normal occurrence, especially in bettas with marble gene.
He evolved
I had one too! my Moon was pure white like yours when I first got him (he was sick though, I could tell at the store) but I wanted him to live and give him the best of his days even if he passed young. He was severely malnourished and had a weird perforated/swollen gill but then he turned a beautiful blue sheen and some pink/yellow/reds as he matured – I’ve had him almost 1.5/2 years and he’s still making big bubble nests, attacking random/dumb things in his tank like plants or leaves, mean-mugging on the daily and loving life 🥰 some of these guys just bloom color as they age!

it means you’re taking care of him and he’s not sick anymore
He is happier and healthier! My white elephants usually go reddish/blue darker over time 🩷 watching bettas shift color is so fun and rewarding.
