I posted half a year ago about my white betta that changed colors he has done it twice since. The blue came only 24 hours after finally being able to do plants and a more natural tank. I swear that the pet smart decor and dyed gravel was leeching into water I couldn’t for the life of me get the water clear. And my betta looked so ill. Here he is after 24 hours my only concern is he has not made a bubble nest. He used to in his 3.5 gallon. But not once in his 5 gallon and he has now been in 10 gallon almost a week no bubbles. Besides what comes from the air stone. I only run the hang on the back filter occasionally and he’s always in his cave when I do. I also have to turn his air stone and sponge filter off when I feed him. I do not leave food in the tank as soon as he’s done eating I scoop out what he hasn’t eaten. does he look healthy to y’all?

  1. Bubble nests aren’t a sign of health, just indication that they’ve reached sexual maturity. Some will make nests, others won’t, it’s nothing to stress over.

He looks much happier to me, and natural tanks are definitely the way to go 🙂 keep it up
