QUESTION: What size of rod for narrow rivers / creeks?

I am new to fly fishing and have had success on lakes and rivers with room for back cast, but haven’t been able to manage getting casting down in tight rivers & areas with lots of vegetation. My roll cast is “ok” but I think I could manage a little better in these types of places with a shorter rod. I understand the drawbacks of a shorter rod but still want to try.

Attached is a photo of the areas I will be hitting and roughly the max size of trout I expect to catch.

I would appreciate any tips for length & weight.
