This is around 48-94 hours after spawning when the eggs have all hatched. The wriggly fry tries to stay in the bubble nest while the male tries to bring them back those who have fallen.
It looks like an impossible mission… But he is not fazed. Dutifully he does this for two days until the fry becomes free swimming.
Done with his job, he is removed to recuperate from the tough ordeal.
