Thanks everyone for your help on my last post. I’m likely upgrading to a bigger tank so I can get a filter, a heater that fits, and some more plants. I want to know what other fish I can get to put in it since it’ll be bigger? Thanks!

Just about any!
Unfortunately your options are very limited its safest to keep them alone. You could try a snail but some (like mine lol) like to snack on their antennas it all depends on your bettas temperament.
I wouldn’t put anything with a male betta I had a female and she still fought out anyone she saw.
Depends on your Bettas temperament. I’d avoid any tetras, other aggressive species, and anything that has a different temperature requirement. I have a 20gal long with khuli loaches and my girl seems to like them well enough, but they typically don’t interact since they’re bottom dwellers. I recommend khulis or Cory’s, just depends on your tank size. Definitely get more plants! Loooots more plants, they’ll help temper aggression by breaking the line of sight and providing hiding places.
what size tank are you getting? that will likely help with figuring out what type of tankmates you can have for your little guy.
It really depends on the individual and size tank you are getting.
Some bettas can only handle snails while others will thrive in a community tank. And the lowest tank size I think would fit a betta and multiple other fish would be a 10 gal, leaning towards 15. These guys need their space.
I would do your research on compatible tank mates and then double check their tank and school requirements too. Then maybe purchase a couple and let your betta see them during acclimation. Introductions tend to go better if the betta is introduced to a tank second since he hasn’t formed his territory yet.
Just a snail or something like it, no fish.
I have some neon tetra and a snail with mine. No problems. My betta isn’t agressive. Just likes to say hi and beg for food
The temperament of every betta is different, but it’s generally recommended to have 15+ gal for a community with a betta. I have a very sweet boy living with 8 ember tetras in a 15gal and they all get along very well. Make sure there are plenty of plants and hiding spots.
Well, it isn’t neon tetras. I got six of them little things, all died, but one, and even with a partial water change, Yuki died (female betta), too. So now I have this one tetra swimming around by its lonesome.
NOTHING THAT DISPLAYS FINS.
