Been dealing with an annoying outbreak of algae and I am usure why it is creating these little swirls.
Initially, it was a blue-green color but turned black. Could be from either adding salt a few days ago to treat an (unrelated) fungal infection on a new fish or from keeping lighting low. I have no idea why it created swirls though!
Thought the appearance was interesting but any advice is much appreciated. Other than being unsightly it doesnt seem to bother the tank members.
My fish that I thought was definitely doomed has been healing nicely too. c:
