i just got my first betta fish a week ago. the first days were alright until the last three days. at first, i noticed that he's kinda lethargic and just stays on the leaf of his plant most of the time. i decided to give him a salt bath for the first time and after that, i must say that he became active again.
however, earlier, i noticed that his fins look kinda patchy. i actually thought that they fell off or smth. then i've noticed his fins having tiny holes and look ripped out. i suspected him having a swim bladder issue the first time he got lethargic but now i think he's having some early signs of dropsy. ++ his right eye kinda bulges out compared to the left. he's also having a hard time swimming.
i also found that he has vomited [see pics 4 & 5] but i thought that its just an indigestion because i tried to have him fasting but decided to just decrease his amt of food taken.

go grab a 5.5 gallon tank from petsmart or petco i just got one on sale, get some kanaplex and aquarium salt, a small sponge filter, a heater, a betta leaf to rest on, and a thermometer. dose the aquarium with kanaplex according to the instructions and add a tablespoon of aquarium salt when you first set up the tank. he should be good after that!
