I have a Phenix Megalodon 8' 30-100 popping and a Carnage III 8' 50-100 popping rod. Both have Spinfisher VI 7500s and 60 lb braid currently, but I am considering going with a higher quality reel. I know the top 3 are the Penn Authority, Shimano Stella and the Diawa Saltiga. Looking to use these rods popping for Tuna at the rigs. Should I just run the Penns and worry about a better reel when I have an issue?
