I found them on someone’s lawn (I had permission to take them 🤤) Can I put them in my tank?

Does that person use any pesticides or other chemicals on their lawn? If they do not then sure. Just give them a good rinse.

Depends what kind of fishes you keep and if there is calcium in it. malawi will never be a problem. Rainbowfishes to, even with calcium. But asian and amazon you have to be sure, that it don´t harden the water. A drop of acid will do. If it starts to foam, don´t use it.
