So my parrotfish tank I want to stick the wood out the water with a bit of it still in the water but it keeps growing fungus which I can clear but would rather it just doesn’t grow in the first place can anyone help if they know how (also I’m middle of a water change so tank looks a bit empty)

Specifically the yellowish fungus
You can try to brush off most of the bark from the wood. It can help because bark is what most fungi and microbes try to “eat” meanwhile the inner layer (that is under the bark) is more resistant
