My Betta is about 2.5-3 inches long, she is generally pretty docile, we keep her with Ghost shrimp and some nerites for a clean up crew and she leaves them alone day and night from what ive seen (unless one of the shrimp dies), but i just added a chunk of hornwort in from a local store, and found this little dude hitchiked in.
Forgot what kind of bug it is, but pretty sure these will eat small fish right? Should i remove this ASAP? Or will Becca eat it before it gets bigger? Its about the size of a gtain of rice, so perfect food size
I was prepping another 10gal to move her into for herself, and keep this 5.5 as a shrimp tank, but i had put hornwort in both tanks, and now im reconsidering, since i dont know if there is going to be more of them hidden, that could be bigger and a threat by the time this 10gal is done cycling.

Id just take it out and not risk it surviving, hiding, and getting bigger!
Follow up info:
I have removed the hornwort after finding multiple of these bugs, but the plants were in the tanks for 2-3 days.
