Today proves trout aren’t as picky as one might think, I did catch several trout on a store bought zebra midge. The rest were caught on a meager attempt at a squirmy wormy, a pupa looking thing, and a stone fly which is more like a miniature woolly booger. Stone flys were present on the bottom of the rocks in the stream.

  1. In my experience their response really depends on how pressured they are, drift speed, and how cued into one food source they are. But if you’re in a low pressure spot those little guys will eat a surprising variety of flies.
