I got my boy Eos 3 days ago, from my understanding glass surfing at the start when bring introduced to a new tank is typical, but I just want to check to make sure he's okay.
Parameters are below
pH 7.5
gH 60
kH 70
Ammonia, nitrite and Nitrates 0.
He's currently in a 4.5 gallon (Temporary tank, he will be graduating to a 18 gallon in a few weeks once it's cycled).
I've fed him some Vitalis Tropical fish food on the first day, which was recommended to me by my LFS, but looking at the ingredients I saw it had plant derivatives (It didn't specifically say plant matter but 'derivatives') so I wasn't sure if these were safe or not so I got some brine shrimp which I fed him today and yesterday. I've been recommended fluval bug bites which I'll get for him soon.
I just a water change and he's been glass surfing since, there would have been a bit of a change in temperature when I did this, but it was only about a 10-15% water change, so it shouldn't have been very large, but I don't know how sensitive they are to temperature changes.
Should I be concerned about this behavior at this stage? What can I do to help him feel more comfortable?
