A few weeks ago i posted and alot of you guys recommended between a tatula and a curado, i ended up going for this setup attached, I have not received it yet but if im spending this much i want to make sure im getting my money’s worth. Upon researching a bit i see theres also a mgl 151 that gets recommended alot. Is there an advantage in having this mgl over the curado dc ? Also what line size you recommend for this new setup? Thank you all

This will be an excellent setup. This reel is quite similar to the mgl, but has DC brakes which will make it backlash less if set properly.
30-40lb braid with a flouro / mono leader or 10-12lb mono will be the sweet spot for line. Any thinner and you risk the line digging into the spool, but you could go a bit heavier if you think it’s necessary. If you go with braid, you’ll probably want some mono backing too.
Reel is good but you over payed. I would much rather a JDM zillion for 250. It’s a superior reel
