I setup this 20l rimless nano today and i would love to quickly add fish but i know there is some cycling phase.
How long will it take and how do i activate tjat phase. I searched the internet but everything is saying something different so i just came here to ask.

Patience you must have, young Padawan.
And for fish its to small. Shrimp ans snails it is fine.
Get the API master kit. Test to see where you at.
Maybe a bit controversial, but API Quick Start has always worked for me. It’ll def work in your 20 gallon.
Simply pour the recommended amount (on the bottle) and stock slowly. add a small clean up crew. (snails, shrimp) a couple of fish, and food.
You can put them all in immediately. I have done this for every tank I have since I found Quick Start
