My local dish store was closing so I got a bag of assorted plants for free, like a huge bag, so I planted them all and tossed the bag. Hours later I grabbed the bag so I could do a water change AND A FISH FELL OUT!? There was like no water left in the bag but it seems to be fine, and I know I should’ve acclimated him into my tank but I panicked and plopped him in. I have no idea what type of fish it is but I’m thinking some sort of catfish or loach. I at least know it’s a bottom feeder from his mouth placement. I would love to do some research on this guy to make sure he lives the happiest life.

Oh no it’s a skunk loach
Skunk botia. Social, energetic, equipped with retractable bone daggers under its eyes, intelligent, personable, able and willing to murder anything it sets its mind to, easy to feed.
If you want to keep him, that’s a loach tank now. Get him some pals and remove other fish in case the loach reich decides to genocide the tank.
